Mila Strugatsky was born in Moscow to a family of artists and musicians. Beginning art classes in Moscow, she studied in many artists' studios through her teen years. In 1972, Mila went to Paris to study at the Ecole de Lepic. In 1974, she was accepted to the School of Art and Design in New York where she studied under the instruction of American artists, Max Ginsberg and Irwin Greenberg. During this period Mila also studied at the Art Students' League in New York and apprenticed with icon painter and church restorer, V. Gordinsky. In 1980, Mila Strugatsky graduated from Pratt Institute, New York and later that year was elected a scholarship member of the Salmagundi Club in New York. Exhibiting regularly at the Club, Mila won numerous prizes and awards. A few years later she became a member of the National Arts Club.

Mila Strugatsky exhibited in major art galleries in Americas and Europe. She had numerous exhibitions in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and South Dakota, a personal shows in her former homeland and was also exhibited in foreign countries, including Canada and France. Her artworks are represented in museums and prestigious private art collections.

Trough many extensive relocations and worldly experiences, the artist identifies herself as a cosmopolitan, and views the world from a universal perspective. It became apparent that all human beings are similar in their pains and joys. The subject of life injustices became the main obsession of the artist’s path.

Mila Strugatsky brings to the canvas inspiration and an enchanted perception of her past and present beliefs. Articles made by Mila Strugatsky are intricate in form and rich in composition and color; she is at her best in blending old traditional motifs with modern shapes, and her articles are noted for completeness of form and artistry.
